Housing/Utility Assistance

HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for People With AIDS) is a Federally funded program intended to provide stable housing for those individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Assistance is available to those already housed or in need of permanent shelter.

HOPWA services are available to all persons who qualify for assistance, regardless of their race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, familial status, or handicap.

Tenant Base Rental Assistance (TBRA) long-term rental assistance program.

 TBRA is a long-term housing program assisting with a portion of the clients monthly rental payment. Contact the Housing Department for information on waitlist and application process.

Short Term Rental Mortgage Utility (STRMU) assistance program

STRMU is an emergency-based program rental, mortgage, and utility assistance program. Client may qualify for this program with either:

1) Loss of income

2) Illness causing loss of income

3) Change in household composition.

Other client emergencies are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the Housing Department for the application process.

Permanent Housing Placement (PHP) move-in assistance program.

PHP assists with move-in expenses such as application fees, security deposits, utility deposits, and first month of rent.
